Choose your digital camera wisely, and don’t skimp on the digital camera batteries. When you’re investing in a digital camera, you’ll want to check out all the basic and advanced features, but there is one thing that tends to get overlooked in the first purchase of a digital camera. It’s the digital camera battery requirement. Perhaps the most vital component of the digital camera is the batteries. The digital camera’s LCD screen, flash, and menu features to delete digital photos drains battery power much faster than film cameras. If your digital camera runs out of battery power, the digital camera and it’s features, won’t work. The most common digital camera battery requirement is AA batteries, usually four of them As digital cameras draw heavily on their batteries, regular alkaline batteries shouldn’t be your standard choice for your digital camera battery. They are renowned for not lasting even an hour in some photo shooting sessions. The “Ultra" Alkaline batteries are a bit better, but your best choice is either lithium batteries or NiMH rechargeable batteries. The initial cost for either of these choices is higher, but you’ll recoup your costs quickly when you aren’t replacing batteries every 10 shots or so. And the nice thing about the NiMH rechargeable batteries is that they can be used again and again. They also hold their charge so you’ll be able to shoot and manage more digital photos on your digital camera.
