How I have a web presence with my hobby

Site Build It! The digital-photo-tutor.com site is managed using SBI Site Build It.

I have been building web sites for years at work using FrontPage, Dreamweaver and even straight HTML coding. When I wanted to create some informational pages about my hobbies, I tried several "all inclusive web development services" and even created a web site using an HTML coder, but after much frustration with different web hosting services that suddenly closed their doors, web page software that was limiting and expensive, and 100s of hours of work, I still didn't have a web presence. Then … I stumbled upon the SBI website.

I read the information, analyzed a few 100 sites that had been build with Site Build It and knew that I'd found a web site development tool and service I could work with. I took the plunge in 2006 and have not regretted it at all.

I am following the SBI steps and slowly and diligently building web sites that I'm passionate about, because they allow me to research, write and develop web pages that people are learning from and using the information from. Two other websites I'm working on are inlineskatescene.com (which satisfies my recreation and fitness hobby) and drummingguide.com (which is my husband's passion, he writes the articles, I put the pages on the web).

A website for your hobby or small business

SBI is the brainchild of Ken Evoy, whose fascination with the internet more than a decade ago led him to create an integrated set of web tools tailored to individuals and small businesses.

In this short video, he explains how anyone with a passion and knowledge about a hobby or business can create a successful web site.

If you are thinking about getting your own website I do HIGHLY recommend this product to you for the following reasons:

  1. There is an abundance of information available when you first start. There are e-books to download on every aspect of creating and marketing the site.
  2. There are online forums available for SBI owners where helpful and professional SBI owners come in and answer all types of questions you may have.
  3. Ken Evoy (the founder of SBI) himself is in the forums almost daily and answers questions and queries from members on a VERY regular basis. This is not a product you buy where the owner is off somewhere leaving you to stumble around without assistance, he is there offering ongoing support which I find extra-ordinary.
  4. You pay for what you get, there are no other fees or charges apart from the yearly subscription. No ugly hidden costs.
  5. SBI is always updating the manuals as things change on the net. They do not charge extra for this.
  6. SBI staff keep up to date with changes in search engines, spiders etc. I don't have to be involved in that at all.
  7. Novice to advanced web designers are using SBI. If you don't want to know about technical workings of the web pages, SBI does the technical background work for you with tools that handle important behind-the-scenes stuff - like html, using keywords effectively, web hosting, and submitting my pages to search engines.
  8. More importantly it shows you how to make a little cash with your site.

I invite you to have a look at the Site Build It product here.

What do you have to do?

Follow the SBI action guide, it'll guide you through using their tools for brainstorming site topics and keywords, choosing a site name and a design template that fits your hobby or small business, and then creating web pages that brings interested readers to your site.

Make Your Words SellWorried about what to write on your pages? Besides teaching you how to build a successful website, SBI also shows you how to write compelling and readable content.

Ken Evoy, the founder and president of SBI, wrote an e-book called Make Your Words Sell, all about how to write for the web.

The book has always been available free to SBI subscribers, but outsiders had to buy it. However, it's now a totally free download for anyone.

Take your time, bookmark the page, read the information they offer, think about your own interests and how you might be able to create your own website, as I have done.

Just Give it a Try!

If you've got some spare time, you should try it. I wouldn't recommend it if I didn't use it myself. My advice is to pick a topic that you have a personal interest in. Think about your hobbies or passions.

Site Build It is ideal too for the small business person just starting out, and if you're like millions of other people around the world, you've thought that there must be a way to make money online … just how.

Here is your answer, your hobbies and life skills can generate a solid income on the Web.

Do you have the solution to a problem that can help people? Acne? Golf tips? Make-up? Exotic Travel? Holistic Health? The topic can be anything. Just make sure you are interested enough in the topic to build a useful, informative site - otherwise you will get bored and abandon it.

Completely risk free

SBI is completely risk free. SiteSell.com will give you a FULL refund if it's not for you, and there's no "trial period" or any sneaky catches.

They can honor a great guarantee like that because they know they've got an outstanding product and the success stories like mine to back it up.

Bottom line: I recommend SBI because it gives you so much more than site building: it teaches you how to create a business online with your hobby, or gets your small business well-deserved web presence and traffic. Just remember, like learning how to work with digital photos, building a web site takes time.

Best of all, with Site Build It you can create a site that earns you money instead of just costing money.
